About Us

Hi Everyone!

We are the new owners as of December 2020.  Christian and Heather have been married 15 years; and we have four boys, ages 13, 13, 7, and 4.

Our love for Minnesota and the North wood actually started back in the 1920's when Heathers great-grandparents moved their vacation spot from Lake Geneva in Wisconsin to the Boundary waters in Minnesota. That set in motion yearly trips to make memories and traditions that we still practice with our own children. Heathers first trip to MN was when she was 6 weeks old.

We strongly feel that we have been on this path preparing for many years. Heather has over 20 years experience with a major hotel company. Christian has background in construction project management and is literally a "jack of all trades”!

We want to keep the culture and history in tact at the resort because we know that’s what our generation wants to share with our own children/grandchildren; but we want to make gradual improvements to the cabins (beds, fixtures, and paint) over the next couple of years. Our family is looking forward to meeting each of you and learn about your memories at Hoot Owl Lake!
